 Jennifer Tilly was born in 1958. in Los Angeles, California. She acted in the film “The Fabulous Baker Boys“ where she had her first recognized role, and the peak of her acting career was in 1994., when she acted in the film „Bullets Over Broadway“, with Woody Allen, and won the award for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She was also nominated for an Oscar for this role.
She started playing poker in 2005. and on her first appearance on the prestigious WSOP tournament managed to win the bracelet and prize of $158,625. In the Ladies No Limit Texas Hold’em, with the competition of 600 players, she won the first place. Later that year she won a WPT tournament in the Bicycle casino where the World Poker Tour Ladies Invitational competition was held. She eliminated a few famous poker ladies then. Behind her is a failed marriage to Sen Simon, the producer of the popular TV show „The Simpsons“. She found consolation in the arms of Phil „Unabomber“ Lack, a famous poker player, and he is the one to blame for her nickname Jennifer „Unabombshell“ Tilly. They met at a poker tournament, and after a while, Lack became her mentor and later the relationship turned into a romance. They are the most famous couple in the world of poker at the moment. Jennifer once stated that she is more interested in her professional poker career than acting, to which she is dedicating less and less attention every year.  |
